I have officially made it to my first P day!! I have to confess that I've never been so tired in my life, but I've also never done something so amazing in my life! The Spirit in the MTC is something truly unforgettable. I've already learned so much!
So on my first day here at the MTC, after quickly saying goodbye to my family (quickly is an understatement), I was rushed off to pick up my study materials, drop my bags in my residence (you're not allowed to say dorms here), and start my first class as a full time missionary. Let's just say that whenever my host was not with me, I got lost. Hahaha but I've been able to figure it out since. I met my companion, Sister Sisson, who seems to have more knowledge than I'll ever have in my lifetime. Seriously though, this girl is stellar. One of her first comments to me was, "I would be terrified to be serving a mission if I lived in Lehi, UT my whole life!" I honestly was not offended by this comment because I was terrified! She has already encountered most "missionary moments" and knows how to approach them. She has already taught me soooooo much, but I think our personalities and our knowledge really compliment each other's! Oh my goodness I love my district. If you've ever heard that you will become family with your district within the first couple days, it's absolutely true. There are six Elders and four Sisters in our district. We're all going to Spokane except for three of the Elders who are going to Canada. Hahaha Elder Spragg is actually from Canada, but got to come down here to Provo for two weeks just to fly back to Canada. I could go into great detail about each member of my district, but I don't have time for that :)
Yesterday we got to play Volleyball as a district for an hour and I think it all really helped us get out of a slump. After that, Sister Sisson and I taught our fist investigator, Debbie, where WE honestly learned more about the Spirit than I think we taught her. Oops haha :) BUT it was a great first experience and we're already looking forward to the two investigators we are teaching next week (One is on Skype). Wish us luck! Oh I forgot to mention that I get to see Sister Phillips and Sister Withers every day, which is soooo great! They've really helped me adjust to the MTC.
Honestly I feel so blessed to be here at the MTC. I'm surrounded by such amazing people! It makes me that much more excited to get to Spokane!
I hope you are all doing well! For those of you getting ready for school, I wish you the best of luck! And remember that when times get tough, you are reaching something great!
Until next Saturday!
Sincerely,
Sister Lott
